October Fest in Viena

RO Noi il stim cu numele de Oktoberfest dar in Viena se numeste Wiener Wiesn-Fest, un eveniment foarte asteptat de multi austrieci si un motiv de sarbatoare traditionala. Anul acesta a inceput pe 26 septembrie 2019 si se va incheia pe 13 octombrie 2019. Anul trecut nu am reusit sa ajung, insa anul acesta am zis ca este momentul sa vad si eu ce se intampla acolo. Intregul program al evenimentelor il gasiti AICI.

Adevaratele petreceri incep seara, unde intrarea este pe baza de bilet la diferite concerte ce se tin in corturi uriase ce amintesc de nuntile de la tara din Romania. Asa cum se vede din program, pana pe la 17-18 intrarea este libera. Mi s-a parut foarte interesant ca oamenii, localnicii mai ales, vin la evenimente imbracati in costumele traditionale iar mancarea si cam tot ce se comercializeaza acolo este traditional.

Dezamagirea a constat in dimensiunea locului unde se desfasoara totul. Cu exceptia celor 2 sau 3 corturi, restul locurilor amenajate sunt destul de limitate. Ma asteptam la ceva mai mare, de amploarea targurilor de Craciun de exemplu.

Pe de alta parte m-am bucurat de acest eveniment si am zis sa va impartasesc si voua experienta mea. Nu sunt genul care sa se duca seara la concerte, am vazut cateva filmulete din cadrul evenimentului si sunt sigura ca nu m-as simti bine, poate la anul indraznesc mai mult si va arat si ce se petrece seara in corturile imense. 🙂

         We know it by the name of October Fest but in Vienna it is called Wiener Wiesn-Fest, an event long awaited by many Austrians and a traditional holiday reason. This year it started on September 26 and will end on October 13. Last year I didn’t manage to get there but this year I said it’s time to see what happens there. You can find the entire program of events HERE. 

         The real parties start in the evening, where it’s an entrance fee to different concerts that are held in huge tents reminiscent of  weddings from organized in Romania. As you can see from the program until 17-18 the entrance is free. I found it very interesting that the people, the locals especially, come to events dressed in traditional costumes and the food and almost everything that is marketed there is traditional. 

I was disappointed by the size of the place of the event. Except for the 2 or 3 tents, the rest of the arranged places are quite limited. I was expecting something bigger, like the size of the Christmas fairs for example. 

On the other hand, I enjoyed this event and I wanted to share with you my experience. I am not the kind of person to go to concerts in the evening, I have seen some videos of the event and I am sure that I would not feel well, maybe next year I dare more and show you what happens in the big tents in the evening. 🙂
